So, grab your ingredients and get ready to shake up your own Michelada at home!

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of your favorite Mexican beer (such as Corona or Modelo)
  • 1 lime, plus extra wedges for garnish
  • 4 ounces of tomato juice
  • 2 dashes of hot sauce (such as Tabasco)
  • 2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • Tajin seasoning or chili powder (for rimming the glass)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  • Prepare Your Glass: Start by rimming a chilled glass with Tajin seasoning or chili powder for an extra kick of flavor. Simply run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip it into the seasoning until fully coated.
  • Squeeze the Lime: Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from one half into the prepared glass. Save the other half for garnish.
  • Add Spices: To the glass, add the hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Adjust the amount of hot sauce according to your preference for heat.
  • Mix It Up: Use a spoon or cocktail stirrer to mix the ingredients well, ensuring that the spices are evenly distributed.
  • Add Tomato Juice: Pour the tomato juice into the glass, stirring gently to combine with the other ingredients.
  • Add Ice: Fill the glass with ice cubes to chill the mixture and keep it refreshing.
  • Top It Off: Carefully pour the Mexican beer into the glass, allowing it to mix with the spicy tomato mixture. Leave a little room at the top to prevent overflow.
  • Garnish and Serve: Garnish your Michelada with a lime wedge for an extra burst of citrus flavor. For an added touch of flair, you can also add a celery stalk, pickled jalapeño, or cucumber slice.

Stir to combine all the flavors, then enjoy your homemade Michelada.
