La Morena Mexican Restaurant 2 opened in Aurora, Colorado in 2024, fourteen years after our family opened its first La Morena location. Our second restaurant was created to continue growing alongside the Aurora community while preserving the flavors, traditions and family values that started it all.
The story behind La Morena goes back generations to Michoacán and Guerrero, Mexico, where our grandmothers brought people together through authentic recipes and love for home-cooked meals. Today, the Ramirez-Ozuna family is proud to carry those traditions forward with a fresh, modern touch.
