Dulce Vida was established in 2018 in Miami Beach, FL by husband and wife duo, R1 La Esencia and Nelly Olivares.
Nelly was born in Mexico and raised in Dallas, Tx after moving to Miami with her husband she realized the need for good authentic Mexican food. The more she looked the more she was disappointed by bland salsas and not so flavorful dishes.
Nelly just started cooking more often at home for R1’s friends from different countries would come to visit and they all had one thing in common. The all would say ” You guys should open a restaurant, Miami needs this flavor.”
Both R1 and Nelly opened up more to the idea of owning a restaurant. Nelly put together a list of recipes from her own family and added her flavor with lots of love and R1 with his business savvy. They both bring the love for helping people and high standards for customer service.
Dulce Vida brings to South Beach authentic and delicious Mexican cooking with special attention to freshness, quality, service and home vibe. It has become a go-to for Miami locals and Tourists looking for a piece of Mexico in South Beach.
