On Thursday, January 22, the groundbreaking Mexico City chef, Chef Arturo Rivera, will bring his historic, Michelin-acclaimed tacos to Puesto Park Place (3311 Michelson Drive in Irvine) for a one-night-only Taco Takeover, marking his exclusive Orange County appearance.
“Chef Arturo made culinary history as the first chef in the world to earn a Michelin star for a Mexican taco stand, redefining what street food could be on the global stage,” explains Eric Adler, Tacoteur and Co-Founder of Puesto, a family-owned Mexican-American restaurant group celebrated for its award-winning tacos, premium ingredients, and modern approach to Mexico City cuisine. “This is not a tour, residency, or pop-up run – it’s a rare, one-night-only opportunity with the taquero who reshaped Michelin’s definition of excellence.”
From 5 p.m. to close on January 22, Southern California diners will have the opportunity to experience the tacos that have made history, as Chef Arturo offers his noted Gaonera taco and Costilla taco, crafted with the precision and soul that earned him Michelin acclaim. Complementing his creations will be Puesto’s award-winning Filet Mignon and Chicken al Pastor tacos, highlighting Puesto’s contemporary, ingredient-driven approach to Mexican cuisine, utilizing signature organic, non-GMO blue corn tortillas, sustainably sourced proteins, and scratch-made salsas.
