Fall Tequila Cocktail Series: The Autumn Pear & Rosemary Sipper

September 22, 2026
Pear me with Tequila

As crisp autumn breezes roll in, Taco Tuesday gets an elevated seasonal refresh. While bright citrus and salt reign supreme in the summer heat, fall calls for deeper aromatics, harvest orchard flavors, and the warm, caramel-oak nuances of a rested tequila.

Kicking off the Fall Tequila Cocktail Series, this Autumn Pear cocktail strikes the perfect balance between crisp seasonal fruit, earthy herbs, and smooth agave. Juicy spiced pear nectar melds effortlessly with Reposado tequila, lifted by fresh lime and an aromatic sprig of bruised rosemary that greets you with every sip.

Whether you’re pairing it with carnitas, charred butternut squash tacos, or serving it as your signature autumn sunset drink, this cocktail brings cozy cocktail-lounge vibes straight to your table.

The Autumn Pear Tequila Cocktail

Prep time: 5 minutes
Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Reposado Tequila (the light oak and vanilla notes pair wonderfully with orchard fruit)
  • 2 oz Spiced Pear Nectar (or fresh pear juice/purée)
  • ¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • ½ oz Spiced Simple Syrup (or pure maple syrup / agave nectar)
  • 2 oz Club Soda or Ginger Beer (for a gentle effervescent top)
  • Ice (regular cubes or pebble ice)

For Garnish:

  • 1 thin vertical pear slice (fan or wedge)
  • 1 fresh rosemary sprig

Instructions

  • Awaken the Herb: Take the fresh rosemary sprig and gently clap it between your palms to release its fragrant essential oils.
  • Shake: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the Reposado tequila, spiced pear nectar, fresh lime juice, and syrup. Shake vigorously for about 12–15 seconds until chilled and frosty.
  • Build the Glass: Fill a stemless wine glass or rocks glass with fresh ice. Tuck a thin slice of pear along the inside wall of the glass.
  • Strain & Top: Strain the cocktail over the prepared ice. Top gently with a splash of club soda or ginger beer for a subtle, refreshing fizz.
  • Garnish & Serve: Garnish with the rosemary sprig and a fresh pear slice nestled into the ice. Cheers to cozy nights and great tacos!
