Wanting to create a concept that allowed him to bring Mexican Culture into Waco, share amazing food and go back to the roots, Jesus has worked hard on bringing Cultura Mia to a place well deserving of it. This isn’t TexMex. It’s from scratch, traditional cooking methods, and ingredients that have been lost in transition through time. Creating a welcoming environment that helps bring his cultures of bright colors and a family-oriented space was his goal. For Jesus, culture is everything. Immigrating from Mexico at the young age of 4, Jesus has grown to have a deep appreciation of the culture he comes from. “I’ve always seen my family cook around me, but then again, nobody does it better than my mom.” Said Jesus. “Growing up, I’ve always watched her cook some of the best dishes. I feel that it would be selfish of me not to share that experience with others.”
Wanting to share his vision of amazing Mexican experiences for Waco, He wants to help bring a cultural connection that the city deserves. He’s worked hard to make this a reality. He’s ready for you, Waco.
