National Taco Day is here, and Puesto is celebrating exactly the way we’d hope: tacos, prizes and a little golden-ticket suspense.
On Tuesday, October 6, Puesto is bringing back its Puesto Golden Ticket promotion at all locations. Throughout the day, Golden Tickets will be randomly attached to the bottom of select three-taco plates ordered for dine-in. Find one and you’ll score a $50 Puesto gift card to use on a future visit.
Basically, this is one time when checking underneath your taco plate is completely appropriate.
To participate, guests simply need to order a three-taco plate for dine-in service on National Taco Day. Each plate can be customized with your choice of tacos, all served on Puesto’s signature hand-pressed organic blue corn tortillas.
Golden Tickets will be hidden at random throughout the day and are available while supplies last. And at select Puesto locations, there’s an even rarer prize in play: the Puesto Rose Gold Ticket, which can be redeemed for a bag of limited-edition Puesto merchandise.
Puesto’s tacos begin with organic blue corn tortillas that are pressed fresh to order. Then comes one of the details Puesto fans know well: crispy melted cheese.
A generous layer of cheese is crisped directly on the grill before being wrapped around the taco filling, creating that signature crunchy-cheesy layer between tortilla and taco. Puesto currently offers nine taco options, including its Filet Mignon Taco, Chicken Al Pastor Taco and indulgent Surf & Turf Héroe Taco.
Not exactly a bad way to spend National Taco Day – Golden Ticket or not.
Because tacos rarely object to having a margarita nearby.
Puesto recently introduced new functional margaritas created in partnership with San Diego wellness brand Cymbiotika.
The drinks combine familiar cocktail ingredients like tequila, citrus and fresh fruit with wellness-inspired additions including sea moss, glutathione and vitamins.
The lineup includes two margaritas made with 818 Tequila, along with a non-alcoholic spritz.
Pair one with your tacos, raise a glass and consider National Taco Day properly observed.
Here’s the other reason October 6 is particularly well-timed.
Puesto already celebrates Taco Tuesday every week with half off all tacos for dine-in guests from 3 p.m. to close every Tuesday.
So this year, National Taco Day and Taco Tuesday are arriving together.
We love when the calendar gets things right.
Puesto’s tacos feature hand-pressed organic blue corn tortillas along with sustainable meats, Baja and locally line-caught seafood, local produce and salsas made fresh daily.
The restaurant group has also continued expanding its ingredient-focused approach, including an additive-free tequila program and the removal of industrial seed oils from its kitchens.
The Puesto Golden Ticket promotion takes place all day on Tuesday, October 6, at participating Puesto locations while tickets last.
Order a three-taco plate, enjoy the tacos and before someone clears the table check underneath your plate.
There just might be gold down there.
