El Pincho Taco started at Sandra’s apartment building at 61 Vanderhorst, Room 211 in Charleston, South Carolina; Sandra would tape a small paper sign that said “Tacos” and neighbors would hang out, pick up a guitar, enjoy the ambiance, and of course, enjoy some real tacos. When traffic would dwindle, they would hit to the hallways, knocking on doors to grateful college students who quickly became part of the weekend amenities of room 211 taco weekends. El Pincho Taco mission is simple: “We need real food. Charleston lacks authentic tacos, so we want to show people what they should taste like.”
