The story all began in 2003 when Chef David started his culinary career. With over 15 years of experience culminating to being executive chef, Chef David and his family decided to finally open up their own restaurant, a dream the family had for years. Tacos Madre Mexican Cocina is the first concept that embodies “comida cacera,” which translates “a home style of cooking”. Opening the doors in November of 2021 in Costa Mesa, the restaurant was an instant neighborhood classic. With the success of Tacos Madre Mexican Cocina, the family decided to open up Tacos Madre Kitchen & Cantina, an upscale concept with a full bar program. The family is very proud to serve and be a staple in the community: sourcing the best ingredients, creating an atmosphere where people can come to celebrate and also create life’s special moments.
